Visitor Information

Each town of the Balonne Shire has an information centre and their details are in this link.

The main Visitor Information Centre is based in St George
with ample parking for trucks, caravans and cars.

On your list of things to do, add a stroll or jog along the riverside walk.
The riverside walk is a great place to stop and revive, view the river scenery,
listen to the wonderful bird life and see the the most beautiful sunrise & sunset.

The riverside is a great spot to meet friends and gather away from home.
Children's play grounds, seating choices, picnic tables and BBQ's are scattered along the riverside park for your enjoyment. Access points to the cement footpath are along The Terrace.

Another to do activity is the Sandytown River Cruise - a wonderful refresher out on the water
and an opportunity to truely enjoy the Balonne River scenery.

Insight into the history of the Balonne Shire, the people and communities, is available at the Visitor Information Centre.
