Baby Left Home Alone Comforted by Police Officer

A deputy with the San Juan County Sheriff’s Office in Aztec, New Mexico, took care of and comforted an infant after she was left home alone by her mother. The sheriff’s office shared video on February 13 of Deputy Tipler’s interactions with the baby. In the video, Tigler can be heard telling his colleagues on the radio that the baby’s mother was “super drunk” and that she went to another family member’s house saying she couldn’t find the baby. Tipler found the baby alone on a bed in the mother’s house after he was called out by a concerned family member. Credit: San Juan County Sheriff’s Office, NM via Storyful
