Four First Nations artists have been selected for the Mani Tribes Gallery Artist in Residence Program, delivered by the St George Aboriginal Housing Company, with support from the Queensland Government’s Creative to Go Program.
The program offers paid residency positions to support emerging artists to develop their artistic practice in a supportive environment, connect and engage with their community and contribute to the rich cultural diversity of their region.
The initial focus for the program has seen the artists working with local schools, kindergartens, health services and the police station to complete a series of murals for NAIDOC week.
